Arm-wrestling and Birthday Cheers
Amalia and Kevin both had their birthdays this last week! Here is our favorite lady with a huge sombrero on at Pancho Villa's. One more to join the 21 club at MCAD's favorite mexican restaurant. Dos Dos Equis!!
Saturday's celebration brought out all the kids...
...which led to a bout of arm-wrestling. The highlight of the weekend if you ask me.
last fun thing to report: I dared Natalie to jump the fence and take a few photos through the window that has been open since June, inside the abandoned house next door. This is what she found.
The painted dream catcher has always baffled me.
SUCCESS!

Roy Orbison
I have a new obsession that is Roy Orbison, whom I can't seem to stop calling Ray but whatever. I've always loved hearing him, but it moved to a new level on Tuesday and ever since then I can't stop listening to him. Also, I've decided that I want to be him for halloween. If anyone has big black glasses or a pomp wig i can borrow, let me know.
Also I had to re-blog this from Maria Horn's blog.. It's so good.

Golden
Liz Elton confessed to wanting a gold tooth. Here's how fine we'd all look with golden canines.
I think an agate tooth would be more awesome. Here's a picture of a beautiful collection that lives in my house.

18 Pack
Tuesday night the troop tried some new beer shot-gunning tactics. When two of the four people are photo students, you get some real great documentation of not very good ideas. But the double-barrel shotgun was pretty successful.. one tip: if you're doing a triple or a quadruple shotgun, you need a big can like fosters.

Museo Aero Solar
Early Saturday morning Liz Elton, Ben Innes and I ventured to see the Museo Aero Solar inflated.
Unfortunately, the building hid the sun so it wasn't able to fully inflate but it was still very beautiful, and we got to go inside.
I love this project and that it's constantly growing and building communities. Also, who can say no to global design connected into a balloon? It was so fun to look at the bags and try to guess where they were from.

Must be the Money
Thanks to Liz Elton's friend that works at Radio K, a group of us got to go to The Myth and see Nelly for free! It was greatly entertaining.
A lil video. . .
(with terrible sound)
I also took this opportunity to take some photographs of the sort of people that attend a Nelly concert.
This man and his lady had matching black fur coats. I can safely say that this man's fashion guru is Snoop Dogg. He had on about 15 rings, long fingernails and a lil ponytail. They were kind enough to let me take this photo.. I wish it turned out better.
There were so many people taking photos and video the whole time. My question: do people feel the need to document everything instead of enjoying the moment b/c of all the electronics and technology we have? I'm guilty of it, but it was still very suprising the mass amount of it that was happening.
