Lady Luck

My mother recently told me that I resembled young Joan Didion and Joyce Carol Oates. I've always been a bit wary of my mother's compliments. But these women seem like a total compliment. Joan Didion's "The Year of Magical Thinking" and Joyce Carol Oates' "A Garden of Earthly Delights" are supposed to be great.
